You know how you see all those “that escalated quickly” things/threads on the web? I feel like I’ve become an audience lately to witness this happening first hand. The situation always starts out small then three days later or sooner it escalated. I’m going to give a few examples of ones that have made me laugh or cringe.
Have you ever experienced this personally or seen a situation escalate quickly?
I always pictured myself getting married in front of all my family and friends. Lately eloping is looking pretty darn appealing(just kidding mom). We’ve had our church change their schedule around on us three different times. I had to sign a new contract with our venue to change our date. A week after we resigned everything and our deposit check was cashed the church suddenly wasn’t available again.
Now we’re church shopping. If that’s even the right way to phrase that. I’m not really going to elope just feeling slightly stressed that we’re just beginning the planning stage and have already hit several bumps along the way. I know it won’t be the first bump. I know planning and the actual day can be very stressful. I’ve stood in at least six weddings as a bridesmaid and have seen some other bridal stresses. I was even in the wedding party of a bridezilla (shudders)
Other than the church hiccup other planning is going quite well. Pinterest is amazing for helping you find/plan what ideas you like for your wedding and it helps me keep my expectations/reality in check. We’ve got a venue and our first catering tasting this month. We’re aiming to get our engagement photos hopefully taken this weekend providing Mother Nature cooperates with us. I’ve also picked out bridesmaid dress colors. About nine more months left until I walk down the aisle. #doitforthewedding haha
