At tea time everybody agrees

Sometimes I’m the problem.

Not always the easiest thing to admit. However in order to grow I have to own up and admit that sometimes I’m the one causing the problem. Ignoring the problem, hiding the problem. I can’t expect myself to grow as a person if I can’t admit that sometimes I’m the only person standing in my own way.

I can be more careful with my words, I can be more patient. It won’t happen overnight but it’s something I can actively work on to become part of the solution.

Stuffed stuffing

So much stuffing

…my face that is LOL

Thanksgiving was crazy busy with a crazy amount of delicious food. How was everyone’s turkey day? I swear I *almost* forgot I had a job last night after enjoying a long holiday weekend.

Really did not want to get up even for coffee this morning. Back to the work grind and it’s been busy and chaotic because of shipping stuff, sales and hey all the computers slept for four days instead of the typical two

Thou shall not try me

Listen, I generally am not someone who just goes around being mad or angry at every little situation. Today has been a slow easy going day for the most part, drop of with the littles went good. Work has been mundane. No major complaints.

Then it happened. Just to give you a backstory there is a woman at work who lays it on a little thick. Exaggerates, tells little lies here and there. Needless to say she’s not super popular among the co-workers. Well today she told a whopper.

She said she had cancer. Told one person she did and when another told her that they were sorry to hear her news she tried to back-track and say she never said that.

WHO THE FORK DOES THAT??? It’s not a joke! That put me from 0 to 60 in like 3.5 seconds.

Weather headaches

Does anyone else gets a headache when the weather changes in temperature quickly? Is this a thing?

I’ve been noticing that the last several times we’ve had major temperature drops I’ve been getting a headache. I chalked it up to allergies at first because sometimes it’s accompanied by sinus issues. Here lately however I’ve had a headache right before a hard rain or right when it goes from 59 to 31 in temperature.

If this is a thing is there a correct term for it? Things you can do to help the symptoms?

Junebug

I love June, it’s my favorite month because it’s starting to get warmer outside. Schools are letting out and I can start checking out places with my kiddos.

It’s prime time in my garden to get the freshest things that I planted. It’s my favorite for cooking out, I feel like when I try to plan a cookout in May it always rains and then everyone ends up inside.

I love being able to go for walks in my neighborhood and bonus points if we end up walking to the local ice cream shop. My flowers are still blooming. It’s the perfect temperature for airing out the house while I clean

What in the November?

Why is it I blinked and the whole month has almost flown by?

I swear every year this month is the quickest month of all, which makes no sense because it has a decent amount of days. It’s probably because of all the holiday pressure and constant reminders to go get your shopping done.

I mean what else makes you feel more panicky than the feeling like you’re procrastinating…

I’m a slacker when it comes to being ahead of the game. Every year I swear I’m going to be better and have all my shopping done for everyone, and every year I haven’t even started shopping until the week of Thanksgiving. I’m probably addicted to the anxiety of doing it all last minute 😛

Drumsticks

I’m not talking about the ones for band. I’m talking about big juicy turkey legs. I freaking miss turkey legs. My family hasn’t cooked a whole turkey in YEARS. We’ve done turkey breast or ham. I get it, stuff is expensive.

I’m debating on if I want to get my own turkey to do myself. However, our family is small so if I do a whole one I need to invite people or get creative with leftovers.

Thanksgiving used to be this giant ordeal when I was growing up. We would drive down to my grandma’s the night before and get up the next morning and start cooking, baking and prepping. Now I just make side dishes at my house and drive over to my mom’s.

What is your favorite side dish to have? If you made a turkey before please share tips ❤

20 whole dollars

Might not sound like much right?

At the time I was a single mom of my oldest, living off of things like macaroni and cheese, PB&J, ramen, cereal. My car was always falling apart, I was working two jobs just to make ends meet. I had just gone grocery shopping and after putting my cart away I noticed a twenty dollar bill buried in the snow by the shopping chart return area.

That twenty bucks helped me do laundry and buy some stamps. When you are literally at your lowest point financially, mentally, all of the ways you feel you could be possibly your lowest. Finding that money was like winning the lottery. I felt like everything was going to work out. And you know what? It did

Now I’m not in as tight of a place financially. I’m always forever grateful for how far I’ve come.

Speaking Spanish

What is the longest commitment to something other than a relationship I’ve made? Sit down and let me tell you

I’ve always been the type of person who goes through phases of interests. Very rarely does a phase stay constant. I usually find myself getting bored with it and needing a break. Perfect example I took up paper quilling. Saw an ad for it on Facebook and decided that was going to be my next thing, asked for a kit for Christmas. I started a picture got one section done and I haven’t touched it in weeks.

It’s not that I don’t want to finish it, I just need a break from it I guess. I haven’t got the motivation to pick it back up. However, learning Spanish lately is something I cannot quit. I’m loving my lessons. I’ve been taking it now for almost one whole year and have not missed one single day.

What’s your newest fixation? Or the longest commitment you’ve made to something besides another person?

Stevie Nicks

Okay I didn’t meet her in person but I once had a very vivid dream that I attended a concert that she was preforming in and she gave me an autographed tambourine.

If I ever get the opportunity to make this an actual reality I would probably fall over in shock. If you have the means or the knowhow to help make my dream a reality you will be my new very best friend.

I would also love to meet: Pink, Taylor Swift, Pete Rose, Paul Rudd or Ryan Reynolds just throwing that out there
